Danze Water Saver High Efficiency Showerhead Review

DanzeOur dated 1980's bathrooms need a major overhaul but since we have three and don't have the time or money to do a major renovation of each bathroom my husband and I are slowly bringing them back to life. One way to quickly update your bathroom is be changing your showerhead. It is a quick and easy way to update your bath. Especially if you have an outdated one like we had in the bathroom off our main bedroom. I was tired of constantly cleaning this shower head with lime remover and every time I would it was falling apart just a little bit more. The only good thing about this shower was that water still came forth in a small shower like cascade. That's what I called it anyway. I can't tell you that it was saving us water as we took longer showers to compensate.

So when I was offered the a chance to review the Danze Water Saver Model D460058 high efficiency showerhead I was ecstatic. I can honestly say I had never installed a shower head before before so I asked my husband to help as he is much taller than I am. So we got ourselves prepared by reading the installation instructions which took less than 5 minutes. The instructions are very easy to read and simple. We needed an adjustable wrench, plumber's tape and needle nose pliers. See photos of our installation below.

Danze ShowerHead Model D460058 Product Description:

Pressure Manifold™ & Air Injection Technology.

  • Brass ball joint with polymer shell.

  • Optimizes water intensity even at low pressure.

  • 40 easy clean jets.

  • Maximum flow rate 2.0 gpm @ 20 - 80 psi.

  • Uses 20% less water than a standard showerhead flowing at 2.5 gpm.

  •

    • The first thing to do was to remove the old showerhead with the adjustable wrench.
    • After removal you should clean the debris that might remain inside the shower arm and threads with your finger then run water to flush. You should also clean off any old plumbers tape that might remain on the outside of the shower arm.

    • After the everything is clean use the plumbers tape (included) and begin to wrap the tape around the threads of the shower arm.

    • Make sure you don't wrap to much on as it may be difficult to get the shower head on. We had a snug fit but were able to still get the shower head on.

    • Attach new showerhead to shower arm by turning clockwise while pushing slightly into the arm until you get it to grab onto the arm. Making sure it is straight continue to turn until snug. Tighten with wrench but do not over tighten.

    • Carefully remove any extra plumbers tape that may be lingering at the top.

    • Take a shower and enjoy!!

Total showerhead installation time took less than 10 minutes. We love our new Danze Water Save showerhead. It provides just the right amount of pressure we need with 40 jets to get us clean in no time at all. I now spend less time in the shower and I love we are saving money while helping the environment by using less water.
