I wasn't gonna. I didn't want to. But here I am. I have given in and am now a Rafflecopter junkie. For those who are subscribers and stay current with my blog or giveaways you already know I have been using Rafflercopter now for my giveaway for about 2 weeks. I decided to give some information here for those who did not know I was using Rafflecopter are unfamiliar with Rafflecopter.
Why Rafflecopter?
My main purpose for switching over to Rafflecopter came about after becoming very frustrated with the Google entry forms I was using. Then forms were working fine however I was having multiple mandatory entries from some people, not sure why. Whether accidental or on purpose it really dosen't matter however it was really messing with my counts and making it really time consuming to choose a winner. Rafflecopter is making my giveaways a whole lot easier and less time consuming so for now I am sticking with it.
What is Rafflecopter?
Rafflecopter is an embeddable widget that displays the specifications and entrants of the giveaway. It helps create, run, and organize giveaways on my blog while saving me loads of time and helping keep those cheaters from -well cheating. It also makes it easier for you the entrant to enter my giveaways while still keeping your information private. So their is no need to enter your email under comments if I ask for a comment to be left. Just leave a first name and I can match it to your mandatory entry.
If you are not familiar or comfortable using Rafflecopter because you are afraid your information is going out to a second party. I wanted to put those fears to rest here. There is nothing to be afraid of as I am the only person that has full access to this information.
Tips for Entering Rafflecopter:
When entering any giveaway that is using Rafflecopter you need to wait until the form loads. Depending on your browser it can take awhile. So if you visit my blog to enter a giveaway and you don't see a form to enter be sure to give the Rafflecopter form a minute to load, it will always be at the end of the giveaway.
As above each form will have a Facebook login and an Email login you can use either one. One you login your name and email gets logged into a sheet just like the Google form used to for my information.
After you login the mandatory entry will be shown. You then need to click on the "Do It" button which will open and give you instructions on what you need to do to enter. Once you do what it asks click on "Enter" and your entry will be recorded.
Once you complete the Mandatory Entry you can complete as many extra entries as you would like. You can also come back once a day to Tweet or to share through Google Circles depending on the giveaway. I had made a mention in my last newsletter that I was moving this blog to WordPress. I am slowly working on my new blog site. I now have it hosted, actually picked out a theme and am currently working on moving things over. Because of this time consuming work I am toning down on the giveaways for now. Hope to have everything up before the end of August and then bigger and better giveaways will pickup again then.
