Hello friends. I guess it's getting to the point where it's almost too late to post a Christmas themed blog, but here it is.
Okay, so last year I posted what I've asked for and gotten in the past for Christmas, and I figured this year I'd post what I might currently ask for if I were to sit on Santa's lap. Just for fun, what I'll also do is tag some of you in the facebook version of this post and you guys can post your own Christmas list and tag your friends and so on. Okay, here goes:
Macbook Pro (I'll get one someday no matter what Santa says)
PRS Mira (guitar)
Fender '72 Telecaster (guitar)
HDTV (I'm behind the times, but so are all of my friends)
Blue-Ray Player
Some type of video camera
Complete collection of all of the TV shows that I watch on DVD (I'm missing a lot of smallville and Family Guy)
Girlfriend? (not really sure whether or not I really want that)
Okay enough of that.
This weekend me and a couple of my friends went and saw 7 Pounds. Pretty fantastic. It got terrible reviews, but it seems that most of the movies that I end up liking do. I kinda like that for some reason. Anyway, I know that most people will say that it's slow and that it drags on forever, but to me all of it was necessary.
Also my friends and I had some pretty encouraging talks about our ambitions, so that's always motivating and good.
Currently me and three of my little cousins are at my grandma's house playing some Rock Band 2. We have Christmas here tomorrow and then on my mom's side Christmas day.
Lastly, I've always been a huge fan of comic book mythology (superheroes and such) but I've never owned actual comic books except for the couple that I had when I was little. But, I know a lot about superheroes and I like them so I figured it would only make sense that I start reading comic books. Well, after a discussion about said topic my friend Jon suggested that I "go buy some comics". Later that night my friend Alex and I read the first story in my other friend Adam's copy of "The Death of Superman". I'm hooked. The problem is knowing where to start and where to go from there. I'll figure that out and pick a few up. I'll let you know how it goes.
Anyhow, have a merry Christmas. Santa comes tomorrow night. Creepy.
-Dillon
