I had a chance to review Adams with Smart Shield for medium dogs ( 32-55lbs). The package unsnapped easily and is great for storage of the applicator and additional applications. The kit comes with a three separate tubes for three months of application. To apply the treatment with the Smart Shield, you slide one tube under the tab in the Smart Shield applicator and than close the applicator which automatically snaps off the applicator tip you than squeeze to apply. A tip I learned is that before snapping the applicator shut one should hold the applicator upright. This however is not included in the instructions and when I used the Smart Shield for the first time I had it laying flat and it dripped out before I realized what was happening. I might have squeezed the round area inadvertently as I snapped it shut, not sure as I don't recall.
I like how the applicator is easy to hold with one hand while your other hand can part your pets hair to apply. I found the Smart Shield applicator simple to use and I would recommend Adams Flea & Tick Spot On not only because of the applicator but because Adams begins to work within 15 minutes of application killing fleas, flea eggs and larvae, while long term preventing infestation for up 30 days. My dog also gets mosquito and tick protection even when wet as the treatment is water resistant.About Adams Flea & Tick Spot On with Smart Shield:
